Director of Information Security & IT Compliance

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Director of Information Security & IT Compliance will play a pivotal role in our cybersecurity strategy, IT governance and compliance strategies, collaborating closely with the CISO and the broader governance organization. The primary responsibility will be to support the CISO in developing and executing comprehensive security programs that protect our infrastructure, applications, data and organization’s assets. This person will be instrumental in driving the implementation of industry-leading security practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • People Leadership: Plan and organize Security and Governance areas in India to delivery on organizational goals. Hire, develop, coach, mentor Leaders and Individual contributors to achieve business objectives and performance standards.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with the CISO, Governance and Compliance leaders to lead a team of cybersecurity, governance professionals, inspiring them to achieve excellence and fostering a culture of proactive security and compliance awareness across the organization. Assist in defining and executing the company's strategy, aligning it with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, identify potential vulnerabilities and threats that could impact the organization's operations, data integrity, and reputation, and design mitigation strategies to protect critical assets effectively. Lead in identifying IT risk, developing mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolving issues, etc. in collaboration with project managers. Performing all work while leveraging industry recognized NIST, COBIT, HITRUST, ISO 27001 and COSO frameworks.
  • Incident Response: Manage the incident response team (NOC) to promptly and efficiently respond to incidents, minimize impact, and initiate remediation actions. Support and enhance ITSM applications and enterprise monitoring tools to meet organizational availability goals.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations, data protection laws, and internal policies. Coordinate audits and implement necessary controls. Support the IT governance strategy and roadmap implementation.
  • Policy and Process Management: Design, implement, and maintain IT governance policies, procedures, and standards that address key areas such as risk management, compliance, data security, and technology usage. Monitor policy compliance and assess the need for updates or adjustments based on changing business and regulatory landscapes.
  • Compliance and Audit: Ensure that IT practices and systems comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits related to IT governance, collaborating with auditors and stakeholders to address findings and implement corrective actions. Oversee and deliver multiple complex IT internal audits to facilitate HITRUST accreditation for customer and internal control assurance with the accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables to the appropriate stakeholders within established schedule, scope, and quality objectives.
  • Awareness and Training: Collaborate with the training team to develop security awareness and IT governance programs for employees and provide regular training to enhance the organization's security posture. Foster a culture of compliance and responsible technology usage across the organization.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with the vendor management (VM) team to conduct security assessments of existing and prospective vendors, especially those with which the organization shares intellectual property (IP), as well as regulated or other protected data such as Software as a service (SaaS) provider, Cloud/infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider, Managed service providers (MSPs) and other relevant vendors. Evaluate and oversee the security posture of third-party vendors and partners, ensuring they meet our security standards.
  • Security Architecture: Review and contribute to the design of secure technical solutions, providing guidance on security best practices.
  • Threat Hunting: Lead threat hunting activities to proactively identify and respond to advanced threats.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM solutions to ensure that access to systems and data is granted only to authorized individuals.
  • Data Privacy: Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Prepare and present regular KPIs, reports to the executive team, highlighting key performance indicators and the overall security, governance landscape.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or work experience (See below)
  • Work Experience: 15+ years general IT experience w/ 8+ years specific to IT Security/Compliance
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, standards, frameworks (NIST, etc.), and emerging trends.
  • Solid understanding of technology risk frameworks (such as NIST, HITRUST, SOC, ISO, COBIT, PCI, FedRAMP etc.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, incident response, and security governance.
  • Experience in Information Technology and Information Security/Compliance with the focus on adhering to best practices and applicable regulatory standards such SOX, HIPPA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) or similar IT service management frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stake
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and IAM solutions.
  • Experience in developing and delivering security training program.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve security goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of professionals.

POSITION:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The CEO will report to the Board of Directors

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will play a critical role in the continued growth and development of the organization. The CEO will have overall strategic vision and operational responsibility for staff, programs, fundraising, financial resource development, fiscal and budgetary management, expansion, community relations and execution of its mission. The CEO will have a large impact and focus on continuing to scale the organization. This role requires an individual who has the experience, personal network, creativity and energy needed to put company on an increasingly upward trajectory in terms of revenues, visibility and participants globally.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The CEO will be responsible for the following areas:

Leadership & Management
  • Drive the impact the organization needs to move the needle on social justice for their community.
  • Ensure ongoing programming excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems. Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
  • Actively engage and energize company’s supporters, volunteers, Board of Directors and Board of Advisors, members, event committees, partnering organizations and funders.
  • Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors. Serve as ex-officio of each committee, seek and build Board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local programming and operations as well as for the national and online expansion. Work with Board to recruit new members.
  • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components, to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the Board, funders and other constituents.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, employment and management of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteers. Ensures that sound human resource practices are in place.
  • Develop and maintain sound financial practices. Working with the finance & administration staff, Finance Committee and the Board, prepare the budget and see that the organization operates within budget guidelines.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide regular feedback to Board.
  • Together with the Board, lead strategic planning and implementation process of COMPANY’s five-year strategic plan.
Fundraising & Communications
  • With the Vice President of Development, expand companies fundraising strategy and capabilities to meet revenue growth goals.
  • Expand and enhance a diversified fundraising program which would include, but not be limited to, major individual giving, foundation, corporate, membership, in-kind and special events.
  • Management of existing and cultivation of new donor relationships.
  • Expand programming revenue generation, and corporate and foundation fundraising activities, to support existing program operations and global expansion.
  • Expand individual supporters in all geographies. Act as the lead spokesperson for company.
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from online presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.
Planning & New Business
  • Design further expansion and execute the five-year strategic planning process for program expansion into new markets.
  • Assure the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
  • Build partnerships in new geographies, establishing relationships with the entrepreneurs, funders, and political and community leaders at each expansion site.
  • Create, implement and evaluate program initiatives that reflect the mission, vision and values of company.
QUALIFICATIONS:

All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience. Expectations and other preferred qualifications include::

  • Track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance and outcomes-based organization and staff. Ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth. A minimum of 10 years of experience with five years of substantial management experience.
  • Strong track record of delivering and exceeding operational and financial results, building a superior team and developing strong relationships with external constituencies. Must be able to drive and manage change, be creative and possess a strong desire to win and passion to excel.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable and innovative approach to business planning.
  • Demonstrated skill and success in strategic planning, as well as execution of strategic plans.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people and effectively manage diverse points of view.
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Proven abilities in working with, and managing, a diverse Board of Directors – particularly in strategic planning, policymaking, fundraising, board development, board committees, etc.
  • The ability to engage and excite an audience – large or small – as a public speaker is required, as the CEO is often the public “face” of the organization across existing and emerging channels of communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills.
  • Proven ability to fundraise – particularly with corporations, foundations, high profile & high-net-worth individuals.
  • A passion for entrepreneurship – entrepreneurial experience preferable but not required. An understanding of the international landscape of entrepreneurship organizations is a major plus.
  • Strong marketing, public relations, and relationship building experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and experience in budget management.
  • Proven track record of managing staff, including staff development, coaching and mentoring to grow staff into expanding roles and responsibilities. Ability to grow the team from 20 to 100 over the next five years.
  • Ability to persuade and motivate others, and to gain the respect and attention of the Board leadership and influential volunteers.
  • Solid financial management experience to ensure the financial wellbeing of a non-profit organization.
  • Experience in working with a large number of active volunteers is a plus.
  • Must have proven, strong communications skills, to become the spokesperson and advocate nationally for the company. Internal communications skills are equally as important.
EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the strategic, business objectives and values of the organization are put into practice. In conjunction with other team members, you will ensure business growth through planning, directing, and managing business operations activities to ensure they are delivered and performed in accordance with strategic objectives. The Head of Operations is responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the organization's operation team, including the Front-of-House, Bar, and Back-of-House.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create the strategic framework for well-planned growth and maximised EBITDA from the existing business while remaining mindful of enhancing the medium-term value of the company
  • Make recommendations for operations excellence in accordance with brand business strategy
  • Establish challenging, realistic, and obtainable goals to guide the operations team and achieve performance
  • Work with the Managing Director on the annual budgeting and planning process for the organization
  • Manage the budget by monitoring the actual financial performance and projected sales to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded and opportunities are identified and addressed

ABOUT THE JOB:

Your responsibility involves:

  • Providing thought leadership for the internal IT team (IT Infrastructure, ERP/ Microsoft Dynamics, Data Analytics).
  • Managing IT demands from senior business stakeholders - setting and managing their expectations, identifying needs and providing solutions. This includes participating in the executive board meeting, collaborating closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other executive board members.
  • Providing IT strategic planning and direction for the IT roadmap. This includes driving IT digitalization initiatives, identifying suitable technology and translate them into viable IT Digital implementation.
